CRC Recognizes Values & Engagement
Three facilities were recognized at CRC’s Annual Management Meeting for their “Excellence in Embracing the CRC Core Values and Employee Engagement:” Wellness Resource Center for the Recovery Division-Residential, Evansville Treatment Center for the Recovery Division-Clinics, and Center for Hope of the Sierras for the Healthy Living Division.
CRC’s five stated values are quite simple: respect, integrity, accountability, responsibility and excellence. Each of the three recognized facilities has demonstrated these values on a consistent basis and employs them in their dealings with their employees, clients and the public.
“This award truly represents what we strive for everyday,” said RVP Joe Pritchard. “The ability to provide the very best in treatment services within an environment that supports professionalism and excellence.”
Of the Evansville Treatment Center that reports to Joe, he said, “Jim Ward [Executive Director] and his team should be commended for truly representing the core values of CRC.”
“The core values are not only words buried in manuals,” said Jim, “they are values we as a facility embrace and strive to achieve daily not just when they are convenient.”
Paul Reed, Executive Director of Wellness Resource Center, said “I am continuously amazed by the strength of this program and the compassion and commitment of our staff members. They truly exemplify CRC’s core values on a daily basis as evidenced by the client success we are proud to experience. It has been a pleasure watching Wellness flourish and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated individuals.”
The focus on employee engagement is a more recent initiative for CRC. In the fall of 2009, CRC took its first ever Employee Engagement Survey. The survey gave the company a measureable look at employee engagement, its managers and the overall quality of the employee experience.
Going even further, CRC has made a commitment to invest in the leadership skills of its managers and created the Leadership, Engagement And Development (“LEAD”) Program. The skills cultivated in the LEAD Program will provide managers with a greater ability to engage and connect with employees, as well as meet professional development and business goals. All Executive and Clinic Director went through LEAD training while at the management meeting and this program is being rolled out to all employees now.
“I’m excited about the next steps and our role in leading the engagement initiatives,” said Jim Hudak, CRC CAO. “I believe in truly making them an integral part of our business practices.”
It has been proven that a highly engaged workforce results in many rewards including employee satisfaction and drive, effective management, and open channels of communication that will help contribute to CRC’s mission of providing the highest quality of patient care. In turn, it will help the company to create a high performing and successful organization.
“I was delighted – although not surprised – to hear Wellness Resource Center won the Employee Engagement Award,” said RVP Candy Henderson-Grice. “Under the leadership of Paul Reed [Executive Director] and his management team, I’ve watched the facility develop into an outstanding treatment center over the last year. It’s a pleasure to work with such an engaged, dedicated group of individuals providing a first class quality program.”
“After all the changes our facility has faced over the last year, this award felt great to give recognition back to those staff that have buckled down and worked incredibly hard,” said Brandon Keppner, Executive Director of Center for Hope of the Sierras. “The recognition to them serves as a great motivating factor that what they are doing and the dedication that they continue to do it with is noticed.”
Brandon adds “We are a people-oriented business, so it’s nice to be seen for the people behind the business.”
Congratulations to Wellness Resource Center, Evansville Treatment Center and Center for Hope of the Sierras for their dedication to CRC’s values and engagement initiatives.
