Kaisha Thomas, Ph.D. LMFT-S, LMHC-S, NCC, CCMHC, SAP
Dr. Thomas is dually licensed in the State of Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Dr. Thomas is also dually licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and as an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT). In addition to her doctorate and licensure, Dr. Thomas holds a number of certifications, including being certified in CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management), certified in hypnosis, as well as being a Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Dr. Thomas is also a Florida State Approved Qualified Supervisor, and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
During her illustrious career, Dr. Thomas has worked extensively in the field of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health treatment, and has had significant training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma informed care, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Client-Directed Outcome-Informed Therapy (CDOI), and organization management. Dr. Thomas is a welcome addition to the clinical and leadership staff at Wellness Resource Center, in our continued mission to provide individualized, person-centered treatment for substance use and psychiatric disorders.
