Evan Kotler, M.A.
In addition to being a member of the Clinical Team at Wellness Resource Center, Evan is also an alumni of the program. He participated in the program in 2002 and is grateful to have had the opportunity to receive treatment.
Evan received a Master’s Degree in Education from Tel Aviv University in Israel. He has instructed courses at elementary schools, high schools, libraries, and dual diagnosis treatment centers in both Israel and Florida. He is currently a fulltime Master of Social Work student and a part time group facilitator at Wellness Resource Center. He has facilitated thousands of psychoeducational groups on a wide range of topics. Evan’s main clinical interests include sex and pornography addiction, mindfulness and meditation, interpersonal neurobiology, and understanding and strengthening willpower. He educates the clients on evidence-based models of recovery such as the S.M.A.R.T. Recovery Program. Evan has also created his own model for positive change called the AAAA program which stands for Awareness, Action, Attitude and Accountability.
