Rachel Given, MSW

Primary Therapist

Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

Rachel has been working in the field of addiction since 2013 starting as a behavioral health technician while in school. Rachel holds a Master of Social Work from Barry University and Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies: Social Science with minors in both Sociology and History from Florida Atlantic University. Rachel has completed trainings in Trauma informed care, EMDR, Mental Health First Aid, and play therapy. Rachel takes a client centered approach and focuses on growth and healing from trauma, mental health, and addictions. While in school Rachel also spent time working in a childhood trauma response program working with children who were placed in Foster care. Rachel was trained in adverse childhood experiences and the continued effect of childhood trauma. Rachel has a passion for working closely with families and individuals affected by substance use by breaking the patterns of unhealthy communication and co-dependency.
