Shannon Hawke, M.P.S.
Shannon Hawke, M.P.S. has been working in the field of addiction since 1997. She holds a Master of Professional Studies degree in Counseling, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology. Shannon has been involved with Wellness Resource Center for over 19 years as a primary therapist, family therapist, consultant, equine therapist, and group facilitator. Originally from Brick Township, New Jersey, Shannon has been riding and working with horses since the age of 12. In 2012, Shannon received her equine certification under Greg Kersten of the O.K. Corral Series, creator of EAP (Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy). Shannon has leant her expertise in both mental health counseling and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy to some of the most prestigious, well known clinical programs in the country. Shannon is also a staunch advocate for family involvement and education as a crucial component of recovery from addiction.
