Levels of Care

Our goal at Wellness Resource Center is to provide comprehensive drug treatment and recovery services that address the specific and unique needs of each chemical dependency patient. In keeping with this philosophy, Wellness offers a treatment track tailored specifically to patients needing an initial introduction to sobriety and the 12-step philosophy, as well as a full continuum of extended care. After an assessment is completed, our knowledgeable staff will design an individualized treatment plan based on the most appropriate level of care. Whether a patient requires primary, extended, transitional, or continuing care, Wellness has a program that can help.

Primary Care Addiction Treatment Program

For those chemical dependency clients who are struggling with addiction and seeking treatment for their drug abuse for the first time, Wellness provides a holistic setting to begin the recovery process. As one of the few drug treatment centers that also offer psychiatry for co-occurring disorders, substance abuse patients have their mental health needs assessed and treated as well.

Through a comprehensive Twelve Step-based approach, clients gain sobriety skills, discover insight into their addiction, and develop coping skills that will enhance their substance abuse recovery. Our program includes psychiatry, nursing, education about relapse prevention, introduction to the 12 Steps, case management, life skills training, and multidisciplinary process groups.

Our treatment process consists of two phases: After completing an initial short-term primary treatment phase (with a goal of achieving a short period of sobriety), patients then transfer into our extended care phase. Clients who do not enroll in extended care will be discharged with an aftercare plan and recommendations for outpatient drug treatment providers.

Extended Care Program for Drug and Alcohol Abuse

For those clients who have been exposed to some type of chemical dependency treatment in the past, either at Wellness or elsewhere, the extended care track is designed to carry them even further in their recovery through an intensive, individually designed addiction treatment program.

Our extended care program far surpasses typical drug rehab treatment in both quality and effectiveness. Through individual, experiential, and group therapy, clients are able to assess, process, and reframe any underlying issues that have contributed to their substance abuse problem. Recognizing behaviors and triggers that have led to drug or alcohol abuse is an integral part of addiction treatment.

At the same time that this comprehensive therapeutic process is taking place, clients participate in a daily 12 Step-based program in the surrounding community. With the support of fellow addicts and alcoholics in recovery and a step-by-step plan for achieving long-term sobriety, clients are able to establish tools that strengthen their recovery and minimize the risk of relapse.

Transitional Program

Once a client is deemed ready to begin reintegrating back into society at large, he can receive support and coaching while looking for a part-time job or volunteer work in the community. This gives our clinical team a chance to observe and assess the client’s stability while offering ongoing support and therapy. Once a client graduates from full-time addiction treatment, he may continue this transitional level of care while continuing to reside within the Wellness community housing. Aftercare groups are held weekly and alumni groups are hosted monthly.
