Alumni of Wellness Resource Center

Wellness Resource Center prides itself on the strength of our alumni community, both locally, throughout the United States, and even internationally. Our alumni play a vital role in Wellness Resource Center’s continuum of care and aftercare. Due to the strength of the recovery community in South Florida and our unique “step-down” phase of treatment, many of our graduates choose to stay in the Boca Raton / Delray Beach area, opting to live in a sober living or recovery residence after they leave Wellness, and continue to stay involved in the 12-Step fellowships that are available.

For clients in our Partial Hospitalization Program, Wellness Resource Center has a pass system, where residents are encouraged to go out with a sponsor, sober support, or alumnus of Wellness, to get involved in the recovery community and learn how to have fun without drugs or alcohol. Our successful graduates who remain local in turn become sober alumni supports for current clients, giving back what was so freely given to them. For any graduate of Wellness Resource Center, we invite you to get involved in our many alumni activities, such as being a sober support, taking part in speaking engagements, or participating in our monthly Alumni Anniversary Night.

Speaking at Wellness Resource Center

Carrying a positive message of recovery is a key component of every 12-Step fellowship, as well as part of the Wellness Resource Center philosophy. If you are an alumnus of Wellness and are interested in giving back, WRC invites you to share your story. Wellness Resource Center has multiple opportunities for alumni wanting to connect with newly clean and sober individuals who are currently in treatment. These opportunities include our Relapse Prevention Workshop on Wednesday afternoons at the Center, our Sunday evening in-house meeting at the Residences, and our monthly Alumni Anniversary Night. The staff at Wellness Resource Center love to hear from our graduates who have completed the program and are now living a new way of life.

Alumni Anniversary Night

On the third Thursday of every month, Wellness Resource Center invites our alumni, along with their family and friends, to join us for our monthly Alumni Anniversary Evening, held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at the Center in Boca Raton, Florida. Alumni are welcome to both speak at the event and also celebrate any milestones in recovery that they have recently reached. If you are coming up on a recovery anniversary and would like to celebrate, please contact us so we can prepare a medallion for you. Alumni Night is a great way to re-connect with other past WRC graduates and become a sober support to a current client in need.

Not currently in the South Florida area? We would still love to hear from you. Give us a call or send us an email with your anniversary date and we can send you a congratulatory card on future anniversaries.
